Schoolgirl Nora Ariffin was discovered by designer Kelvin Khoo at the tail-end of 1984. Out of curiosity, she joined Carrie Models in her native Singapore and almost immediately, her career sky-rocketed... in 1985, she scooped two major modelling awards in rapid succession. With new-found confidence, she decided to try her luck abroad - first in San Francisco and Los Angeles, then Paris... where she was hand-picked by Guy Bourdin, the avant-garde photographer for Vogue Paris. She later became his muse.

Since then, Nora has worked with such creative luminaries as Herb Ritts, Matthew Rolston, Gilles Bensimon, Peter Arnell, Marco Glaviano, Harry Benson and Sante D'Orazio - appearing in countless magazines, catalogues, ad campaigns and galleries worldwide.

As a graduate of The William Esper Studio, Nora has starred in films by Dario Piana, Andrei Konchalovsky and William Blake Herron. She is due to appear in Sean Brandt's forthcoming docu-movie, 'When The Sky Fell Down, The Myth of Guy Bourdin'.

Nora's success extends far beyond the world of modelling and entertainment. She continues to shine in the limelight as a businesswoman. Since 2004, Nora has become a highly successful realtor. She won many awards, earned glowing accolades and in 2010, was named as one of '9 Women Who Master Power and Style' in Oprah Winfrey's 'O' magazine.

These days, you are more likely to find Nora hard at work in her position as SVP at Halstead Property. Despite her hectic real estate career, Nora finds time to model. She is represented by Elite Model Management in New York.

If there was a girl I'd gladly pay $10,000 to get her out of bed for a job, it would be Nora. I had found my Evangelista!
